Meet Charlotte, a home birth midwife who has specialty to help others with; water birth, vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), breech birth and twins. She is known throughout the birth community as a mentor and guide, taking calls and internet communication. Moreover, teaching of parents and advanced skills to other birth professionals.
Charlotte has an innate ability to share wisdom and knowledge in practice, offering parents shared decision-making and true informed choice throughout care.
Today she helps support families who are located in the Dallas and DFW Metroplex. Charlotte provides holistic prenatal care with her home birth practice, and assist with birthing center care. Lastly, her belief is in team work, may that be minimal or with multiple providers to achieve the necessary support needed.
Traveling Midwife
As a traveling midwife Charlotte offers support of breech and twin birth to birthing centers, midwives and birthing parents. This support can be in the form of teaching a skill worksop, or consulting and assisting other midwives with breech & twin birth.

Teaching Breech Birth
Charlotte’s journey to midwifery began in the state of Michigan, where she became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). With her desire to help families, she was led to start a home birth practice. Later co-directed a family birthing center. This journey lead her through six states, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia, California, and Texas. It was then after serving a multitude of families Charlotte has settled in the great state of Texas attending birthing center and home birth as a Licensed Midwife (LM). By the grace of God may he use her to help all those families that are in need.
Over the span of 30 years attending birth, she had the opportunity to co-directed a family birthing center. In addition, she has written professional articles, and taught at midwifery conferences. Later, she held a seat on a midwifery board for 10 years. This vast experience had placed her serving mothers and families alongside a well known maternal fetal medicine (MFM) specialist. Including medical doctors (MD’s,) and certified nurse midwives (CNM’s). She has worked with countless dedicated doulas and other CPM’s. Her confidence is what mothers find helpful to guide them through one of the most meaningful times in their lives.

In the beginning
Amazingly, Charlotte has held a lifelong passion to help mothers having babies. As a young girl in elementary she planned to help mothers with babies. Only after her hospital birth, was she led to give birth with midwives at home.
Next, Charlotte understands that having a home birth is different. Her births were all different, from land birth to water birth 27 years ago. More importantly, her experience was mother led, reaffirmed her calling to become the supportive midwife she is today!
