Twin Home Water Birth
Charlotte is the most amazing midwife you could ever ask for. I have never felt more well cared for than when in her care during my twin pregnancy and birth. She is the best! She drove more than two hours to our house for the delivery and postpartum check up. She brought a lovely bouquet of flowers for the birth photos and even snuck out to get a birthday cake.

Twin Home Birth
I am so blessed to have met and have had the support of Charlotte’s experience, knowledge and expertise for the home births of my twins who just turned 6!. During my pregnancy she was thorough, holistic, and even referred me to a MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist) to ensure normalcy, when she provided her midwifery care. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I knew a lot of what to expect, but Charlotte closed the gap with the uncertainties and risks of breech and multiple births- especially when it came to Delivery Day.

Breech Home Birth
Both of my babies were born breech. With both babies, I received my initial care from a birthing center, but had to switch providers at the end because the birth center was not permitted to deliver breech babies. Having had my first in hospital, delivered naturally by an experienced doctor. But by the time I was expecting again, this doctor had retired. So when I found out at 35 weeks, I would be delivering a breech baby, I was devastated, not wanting to be forced to have a c-section.
Earlier in my pregnancy, I had talked with a local doula who told me about Charlotte Sanchez. Importantly, I remembered her name just in case I would need her in the future. Next I texted Charlotte pretty soon after my 35 week appointment, and her willingness to help me so late in my pregnancy as well as help me have the natural birth I so wanted was such an encouragement to me.
Confident, but also cautious-
Charlotte is confident, but also cautious-making sure we knew as much as we could about my baby to insure it was a safe delivery. Also she is personable -we really enjoyed our appointments with her as well as her home visit. She is very experienced in breech and twin birth, and her knowledge of the subject made me feel so much more comfortable in choosing her as my care provider.
Lastly, she came to the birth prepared for everything, taking great care of baby and me. Our at home birth experience (my first!) with her was amazing! I am so thankful to the Lord for using her to deliver my baby and answering our prayers! I highly recommend her!

Home Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)
Charlotte is an outstanding midwife. My family and I have complete trust in her abilities and I could not recommend her more highly. She is a powerful person and an expert in her field.
My water broke unexpectedly at 34 weeks with my first baby, and he was born via emergency c-section because, it turned out, he was positioned as footling breech. This likely unnecessary and frightening birth process resulted in a great deal of anxiety and physical pain over the first months as a new mother. I knew that there had to be a better way.
Over the next two years, I researched a more holistic approach and upon getting pregnant with my second child, I found that home birth with midwifery care was likely what I wanted. I was planning a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) in the water, and I knew most hospital-based providers actively discouraged this, despite minimal actual risk to mother or child. My husband was not certain about home birth, but the moment he met Charlotte, he became completely confident in our ability to achieve this dream together.
She was respectful of us and did not dodge questions or pretend she knew answers if she did not. She was so detail-oriented, knowledgeable, totally factual and very warm and funny. I love how safe and open I felt I could be with her. I looked forward to every one of our prenatal appointments, which took place in her cozy and professional home office.
Highly Qualified, With Different Types of Births-
She is highly qualified, with attendance at hundreds of different types of births. She has a profound drive to give women and families the birth experience of their choice and she makes it happen, in spite of societal obstacles. It’s a deeply spiritual process to bring life into this world and Charlotte held so much reverence for the miracle that is birth, while maintaining an unbelievably sharp focus on the needs around the physical aspects. She made everything so easy, including compiling a complete list of all home-birth accessories that you can quickly order online.
Charlotte and her assistant arrived for the birth and systematically got everything in place, allowing me to labor peacefully and checking me only as needed. I felt so completely safe and supported throughout the entire process, and when the baby arrived, Charlotte diligently checked him out and got us happily situated in bed to rest while she expertly repaired the tear I received during birth. The experience was beautiful and in the coming weeks, she came back over and texted to check on us. I felt I could contact her if we needed anything at all. Charlotte’s midwifery care is unparalleled and I highly recommend her.

Breech Home Birth
Charlotte is a fabulous midwife. She is professional, knowledgeable, and truly cares about her clients’ outcomes. Also she is well prepared and ready to step into action for any complications that may arise. My firstborn was breech, and after unsuccessfully attempting to get my little one to turn, we had a lengthy conversation with both Charlotte and a perinatologist and we decided to go ahead with our home birth plan. Whats more Charlotte’s expertise was evident and gave us every comfort knowing she had the ability to get us through a complex birth.
I went in to labor, Charlotte came immediately and was by my side every step of the way. In addition she helped me to stay calm and relaxed and reassured me every step of the way. Her vast knowledge of breech birth became even more evident during delivery. Both my husband and I were delighted at how safely and smoothly delivery went. She stayed with me until she felt confident I was doing well and then drove back out to our home for my postnatal visit a couple of days later.
A Few Years Later-
It was a few years later, when I was pregnant with my second child, naturally, we called upon Charlotte again, and once again, she was amazing! My second child presented head down, and I complained to Charlotte throughout the end of my pregnancy and during delivery that there was too much pressure – far more than with my breech baby! Personally, I much preferred my breech pregnancy, labor, and delivery! We still get a good laugh out of me asking her to make my second baby breech as well! I can not recommend Charlotte enough! She goes above and beyond to take care of both mom and baby!

Rain Style Home Birth
Charlotte was my midwife for my second and third babies. Working with her was such a great experience! After meeting with her initially and asking her all my questions I felt completely confident that I was in the best possible hands for a home birth. My first baby I delivered with her was the best surprise I’d ever had. The ultrasound we had during my pregnancy had showed us we were having a girl. Imagine our shock when we delivered a 9+ pound baby boy!
My first baby had been a 6.5 pound baby girl and I had tearing, stitches, and a painful recovery. With Charlotte coaching me through the delivery and helping me deliver in a way that was the smoothest and most natural for my body, I delivered that big boy without a single tear! After that experience I was sold on home birth. It was so peaceful and my recovery was so comfortable. A lot of that was thanks to Charlotte.
This was my second home birth with her was with my 3rd child. I was considering a water birth but my husband and I weren’t excited about cleaning it up afterwards so I decided not to do a water birth. When it was close to delivery time I hopped in the shower to ease the pain of the most intense contractions. Further on I didn’t realize how close I was to delivery and before I knew it, it was time to push the baby out!
So She Helped Me Deliver Right There in My Shower-
There was no way I was getting out of the shower so Charlotte helped me deliver right there in my shower. After the baby was here she said, “You got your water birth!” I responded, “I did?” And that’s when she coined the term, “Yeah! You had a rain birth.” It was actually such a great way to birth that after I moved away and had one more baby, I birthed her in the shower as well!
All in all I can’t recommend Charlotte enough. Our experience with her was top quality and her expertise consistently eased all worries from my mind. We are finished having babies, but I would almost consider having another if it meant I could deliver with her!

So by the time I was pregnant with my 3rd, which happened to be a 10 lb. breech baby boy, there was no other person in the state that I would trust with my life or my baby’s life, more than her. She absolutely knew what she was doing and in every scenario she had a plan of action. Two Home Births
Before my husband and I got pregnant we had decided on a home birth and a midwife. When we found out we were pregnant, we found Charlotte through a friend. We immediately loved her!! She was extremely nice and very knowledgeable about birth and pregnancy. And since I was a first time mom, I was nervous about everything!! But Charlotte took the time and answered all of my questions. Also she even called me in between appointments to see how I was. What Dr.’s office does that?
When my water broke it was at 2 am. I called Charlotte (and my mom ), she just told me to get some rest and she would see me soon. It was so nice to just be home and relaxing. There was nobody poking or prodding me, just very calm. My mom, husband, our dog and I were walking laps around our neighborhood.
After the contractions really started, I was sitting on my couch, my husband was timing the minutes and my mom was baking cookies!! We were all laughing at how great it was. My phone rang as Charlotte kept checking in to see how far apart the contractions were. When she arrived at our home, she checked me and decided I could start pushing. Fifteen minutes later……our beautiful baby girl was born. She weighed 9lbs. 4oz. and 21.5in long.
She Just Guided Her-
It was important that Charlotte didn’t pull on her or rotate her to get her out, she just guided her, then when she was delivered she placed our daughter on my belly. My daughter immediately looked at me wide-eyed and alert. It was one of the most memorable memories in my life.
I can’t thank Charlotte enough for helping me to have a wonderful pregnancy and beautiful birth. You see, my husband and I are both practicing chiropractors, and I would recommend home births to everyone, but more than that I would recommend Charlotte as a midwife!! Now Charlotte became a part of our family, and I am so thankful to her for the experience we had.

When we met Charlotte over 27 years ago, it was while we were preparing to have our first child in 1995. From the beginning, we saw her as a loving, warm and knowledgeable friend. Our first pregnancy and birth with her was an incredible and rewarding journey. She continued to be our friend and midwife through our next five home births.

After a meeting with her, we just all clicked, not to mention the fact that at the time, my husband and her were Starbucks/Coffee freaks. We found Charlotte amazing and confident and has this strong, loving warmth about her. All this along with her knowledge and experience, gave us the comfort we needed to move forward with our unknown event of childbirth. Together we connected so much that we chose each other even though we lived significantly far away from each other.
She was there for us the entire time, whether it be a phone call to answer a question for concern or just to check in to see how everyone was doing.
